Flagler County Education Foundation

I am proud to say I am a product of Flagler County Schools. After relocating from Connecticut, I attended Flagler Palm Coast High School where I was able to thrive in programs offered, such as dual enrollment. The school counselor at the time met with me regularly and created a path that allowed me to graduate a year early in 1996.

Today, I own my own local real estate company in Flagler County, Palm Coast & the Beaches Real Estate. Flagler Schools helped me set a path for success and that is why I am passionate about being a part of the Education Foundation.

Every day, I get to experience first hand the drive our 1,700+ teachers and support team have in making a difference in students’ lives because my husband teaches at one of our elementary schools, and our four children have also gone through Flagler Schools. I’ve had the honor of not only learning about the Classroom to Careers Flagship programs through my time on the Education Foundation Board, but also as a local business owner. I have seen first hand the importance of the public-private partnership we have between Flagler Schools, Flagler County Education Foundation and our local business community.

I have had the honor of serving on the board for three years with an excellent group of other business members and retirees. We, as active community members, have to help put our children first, and there is no better way to do that than by supporting the Direct Support Organization for Flagler Schools.

The Foundation has been recognized by the state for a third straight year for our Peter & Sue Freytag Take Stock in Children program. We are also able to make a lasting impact on all 13,000 students through our STUFF Bus program which puts school supplies, life essentials, and school-approved clothing to ANY student in need. I am honored to be a part of an organization that is making a lifelong impact on our students. If you haven’t been able to join us for a Classroom to Careers Flagship tour I would like to personally invite you to join me. You will see first hand how we are changing education here in our A-rated district, Flagler County Schools. I hope you have enjoyed learning something new about Flagler Schools.
